Raisa was first able to accept acting jobs in her sophomore year of high school. She started modelling for ads in the print media as well as being featured in commercials. From the year 2018 until 2022 Raisa played a character on the Freeform show Grown-ish. Executive produced by the Blackish's creator Kenya Barris. The actress was on the show for the initial four seasons of the series and then left following her character's death in the final season. As of 2018, Raisa was opposite Tyra in Freeform's television film Life-Size 2. Raisa was added to the cast of How I Met Your Mother spinoff How I Met Your Father in the month of May 2021.
